Denver County Jail

Denver, Colorado

Building 24 is a LEED Silver certified 7-story, 256-bed capacity building.

This 140,000 SF project in Metro Denver consists of a six-story, 768-bed addition to the existing Detention Center and select remodeling of the existing facilities. The new housing unites are two stories each, with four 8-bed sleeping rooms on the lower dayroom level and four 8-bed sleeping rooms on the upper Mezzanine level. Each housing unit is designed with its own visiting stations, which allows for the unescorted movement of inmates to these activities and reduces staffing requirements.

The remodeling phase of the project included Intake/Receiving, Inmate Property Storage, Administrative and Training, Laundry, a Main/Visitor Entry and Special Housing Unit.
